Petra needs to work out more so she can be able to run balls down …. Her weakness is movement when you make her run she will eventually make errors and give up on points.

I thought Petra was gonna win the US Open. From the moment she won her first US tour to the middle of the second set of this match! :L Kvitova set herself up to win this and then runs into an in form Bartoli 😛 typical

wow i can’t one-dimesional bartoli beat kvitova, but then bartoli doesn’t give kvitova much when they play each other & its always a marathon lol

Kvitova should never have played New Haven…

Bartoli is one of those GIANT killers. When she is on she’s amazing. The way she played these last 2 sets she could have beaten even Serena or Azeranka. I always find where she is in GS draws. VERY dangerous and at times crumbles…. I expect her to beat some big players again in GS ‘s in the next 3 or 4 years. BTW Kvitova is awesome….. She’s gonna get better – mark my word.

I think Petra played New Haven just to clinch the US Open series and get that cash bonus! Also, sometimes Marion gets on a wild hot streak during a match (ex: Justine at 2007 Wimbledon) and becomes unbeatable. She’s an underrated big match player and is one of those inconsistent, but can beat anyone on a given day competitors.

She ran out of gas…..I said this on a previous video regarding Kvitova. Petra wins Montreal on a Monday, flies to Cincinnati on Tuesday, plays Cincinnati and gets to the Semifinals, then she goes to New Haven(I don’t know why) wins there, and then she plays in the US Open clearly fatigued. She played five weeks in a row when you include the Olympics and the US Open…very poor scheduling.

Bartoli really has an odd serve motion….

So what happened with Kvitova in this match? She dominated the first set then went away….
